The Hudson Reporter published a piece this morning on how Secaucus’ abandoned concrete factory had been gradually turned into a work of art by resident Dan O’Connor.
The factory, which sits at the end of Paterson Plank Road next to Trolley Park, hasn’t been used in years and is wedged between the Riverview Gardens and Jacob’s Landings residential developments. O’Conner told The Reporter he was walking the area and cleaning up litter and decided to turn it into art to be used to decorate the factory ruins.
Eventually, the old factory will be demolished so the property can be redeveloped. But for now, it stands as a testament to how the power of art can revitalize old buildings.
