Secaucus high school senior Amanda Ulrich became the leading scorer in school history with a 31-point performance on Thursday.
Ulrich broke Amanda Innis’ record of 1,903 points less than five minutes into the game and finished the game with 1,925 points as the Patriots cruised to victory. She is currently averaging 24 points per game in leading Secaucus to a 12-1 start to the season.
“I view myself as more than just a scorer,” Ulrich told The Jersey Journal. “I like to view myself as a good teammate, a good passer, a good rebounder. I want to be able to do everything.”
Ulrich is also climbing the all-time list in other categories. She has 581 rebounds, 353 steals and 330 assists.
The Journal ran an article last week about Ulrich’s milestone that included quotes from Ulrich and coach John Sterling.
