After years of development, the Secaucus BurgerFi will finally have its Grand Opening on Memorial Day.
It was more than two years ago that eSecaucus wrote a post that BurgerFi would be opening within a few months. Due to numerous delays, the new burger spot was stuck in limbo and seemed destined to be an unfulfilled project.
But the moment has finally arrived as BurgerFi has announced they will open for business on Monday, May 30 at 11:00 am. The all-natural burger chain will unveil its 3,000 square foot eatery at 700 Plaza Drive – in the former long-term location of Burger King.
BurgerFi, however, is a far cry from Burger King, with a focus on burgers that feature natural Angus beef free from antibiotics and hormones. The BurgerFi menu also features all-natural hot dogs, onion rings, french fries and old-fashioned custards.
There are also a number of items not found on typical burger menus, including grilled veggie burgers made from quinoa, chicken hot dogs and hot dogs made from Kobe or Vienna beef. Beverages include a beer and wine and natural cane sugar soda.
“We look forward to serving the vibrant communities of Hudson County in my longtime home state of New Jersey, inviting families to kick off the summer season with our unrivaled better burger offerings,” BurgerFi CEO Corey Winograd said in a statement. “BurgerFi provides a modern twist to great-tasting food made from fresh ingredients in a fun, family dining experience.”
The restaurant itself also has a number of all-natural, environmentally-friendly aspects, including tables made from upcycled milk jugs, chairs made of upcycled Coca-Cola bottles, walls made from renewable timber and recycled paper countertops.
BurgerFi will be open from Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
