The United State Postal worker who used her Secaucus mail route to traffic cocaine was sentenced to 46 months in jail on Wednesday.
Christina Nunez was arrested last summer when authorities found a package containing cocaine addressed for a residence in Secaucus. The authorities replaced the cocaine with another substance and arrested Nunez when she arrived at her Lyndhurst home with the package.
The 30-year-old Nunez was receiving the packages from drug traffickers in Puerto Rico. The drugs were then transported to her associates in Camden. Nunez’s husband was also arrested and received a 37-month sentence.
Authorities seized more than two kilograms of cocaine during the investigation.
