A mail carrier with a route in Secaucus has been charged with using the United Stated Postal Service to receive cocaine from Puerto Rico, according to an NJ.com report.
Christina Nunez and her boyfriend have been charged with collecting the packages, falsely marking them as “delivered” and distributing the drugs to associates in the crime-ridden city of Camden.
The 30-year-old Nunez – a Lyndhurst resident – was caught when authorities found a package containing cocaine addressed for a Secaucus address. The authorities replaced the cocaine with another substance and arrested Nunez when she arrived home with the altered package.
Nunez and boyfriend Luis Vega also had drugs delivered to their Lyndhurst home. Nunez has been charged with mail theft as well as possession with intent to distribute cocaine and will appear in U.S. District Court in Newark later today.
