A 65-year-old Brooklyn man has been charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses after police said he slashed a random woman at Secaucus Junction Tuesday afternoon with a box cutter on her arm and back.
The Jersey Journal said the man, Duke Gamble, approached the victim, an Essex County woman whom he did not know, Tuesday afternoon and accused her of stealing his medication before slashing her five times.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital and surgeons used staples to close her wounds, according to the report.
Gamble, who has reportedly been arrested 14 times, was also ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation.
