Choking – 3/31/09
10:21 PM – Police dispatched to Allan Terrace address on report of 19-year-old choking. Officer told to “step it up.”
10:25 PM – Office, on scene, reports back that “he’s breathing now, but it’s a partial obstruction.”
10:27 PM – “It’s out now.”
Payment dispute – 4/2/09
7:16 PM – Officer sent to Fairview Ave. address on report of contractor with issue over payment with homeowner.
Peddling electronics from car – 4/2/09
7:45 PM – All units given alert that within last 10 minutes a number of males were reported to be selling electronics equipment from a white ’98 Chevy Astro van with Jersey plates. The vehicle was seen leaving the Home Depot and heading down Paterson Plank Road.
Animal control issue – 4/3/09
9:36 PM – Officer dispatched to Dunlin Plaza in Harmon Cove townhouse complex on report of an animal control issue, apparently an opposum.
Brush fire – 4/5/09
2:10 PM – Smokey brush fire in vicinity of Mill Creek/Plaza at the Meadows complexes. Several fire units, including those from surrounding towns, respond.
5:14 PM – Fire fighter reports that “brush fire is extinguished.”
7:23 PM – Fire fighter requests two water extinguishers at Harmony Early Learning Center on Park Place.
7:40 PM – Second fire reportedly extinguished.
Juvenile mischief – 4/5/09
6:21 PM – Officer dispatched to 55 Flanagan Way near Maccormack Agency insurance company on report of juveniles running in and out underneath the building.
6:23 PM – Officer on scene says four female juveniles “will be on their way.”
Asleep in car – 4/5/09
7:08 PM – Two units dispatched to front of Marra Drug Store on Paterson Plank Rd. on report of male sleeping in red Cadillac.
Stuck on tracks – 4/5/09
7:25 PM – Officer radios vehicle is stuck on train tracks near 275 Hartz Way and requests confirmation that tracks are inactive. HQ responds that is affirmative.
7:27 PM – Officer requests tow truck and reports possible damage to the vehicle’s axle.
Erratic driver – 4/5/09
8:16 PM – H.Q. alerts units in area of Route 3 E that Clifton has reported an erratic driver in a black Lexus heading toward Secaucus. Vehicle is said to be registred to a 56-year-old male from Montclair.
Suspicious parked car – 4/5/09
8:35 PM – Two officers dispatched to Schmidts Place and Edna Place on a “concerned citizen’s” report of a parked car occupied by two people.
8:38 PM – Officer reports that female in vehicle is a resident of Schmidts Place. Silver Mitsubishi is registered to 57-year-old male out of Wallington, N.J.
