Secaucus often wins awards of this nature as it is one of the few suburban family towns in Hudson County, which is mostly populated by more densely packed cities.
Here is what New Jersey Family had to say about the town:
It’s tough to beat a bustling suburb just minutes away from Manhattan by train. But don’t let the town’s proximity to the Big Apple fool you: Secaucus boasts 22 community parks, a swim club, rec center and other outdoor facilities. Anna Lepin, a mother of two who’s lived in town for 42 years, loves spending the day at Secaucus Ice Rink. “For $5 total, you can take your child to skate at an open session for two hours with rental skates included. They also have an amazing travel hockey program.” Lepin, a teacher in the Secaucus school system, also raves about local schools and the high level of parent involvement. As for fun, she and her husband love Harmon Meadow Plaza for restaurants, shopping and movies.
