According to the CDC “drowning is one of the nation’s leading causes of death Children ages 1 to 4. Among children 1 to 4 years old who died from an unintentional injury, one-third died from drowning”. The root cause of all this is due to the inability to swim. Research has shown that participation in formal swimming lessons such as those offered by British Swim School, can reduce the risk of drowning by 88 percent among children who are most at risk for deaths caused by drowning.
