Three men were busted with a loaded gun and drug paraphernalia near Clarendon School on Friday after an observant resident called police.
One of the men exited a parked vehicle in the area of Mansfield Avenue and Fifth Street in order to urinate. The resident noticed the activity and called police, who arrived at 3:11 pm to investigate and found a Colt Detective Special .38 caliber revolver and items used for packaging drugs for distribution
Gequan Cantey-Clark, 21 of Orange, 21-year-old Daijhon Parks of East Orange and Philip Marrow, 22 of Newark were also in possession of burglary tools and arrested at the scene and had $1,000 in cash.
According to The Jersey Journal, “The three men were charged with unlawful possession of weapon, unlawful possession of handgun ammunition, possession with the intent to distribute drug paraphernalia and possession of burglary tools … Marrow was also charged with hindering his own apprehension. They were taken to the Hudson County jail pending their appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court.”
