Secaucus High School’s principal and assistant principal were suspended recently for reasons that are being kept under wraps.
Principal Dr. Robert Berckes and Assistant Principal Jeffrey Case have been absent from the school this week while serving their suspensions. According to The Jersey Journal, “school employees have been told very little, if anything, about the incident that led to the suspensions” and Superintendent Jennifer Montesano and Board of Education President Jack McStowe could not be reached for comment.
In addition, a police officer at the school has been reassigned to a different school.
Berckes has been the principal at Secaucus High School since 2010 and Case has been assistant principal since last year.
