A pair of teenagers from out of town were recently charged with omitting a series of crimes in Secaucus last month.
According to authorities, a 14-year-old from Jersey City and 17-year-old from Manalapan stole a two safes, jewelry, cash, a car and a motorcycle in on January 24. The younger suspect was arrested later that night and the older suspect was nabbed five days later.
The counts facing the two culprits are as follows:
- 14-year-old: six counts of burglary, five counts of theft, two counts of receiving stolen property, obstructing justice, resisting arrest and conspiracy
- 17-year-old: seven counts of burglary, six counts of theft, two counts of criminal attempt, conspiracy, possession of burglary tools, receiving stolen property as well as outstanding warrant from Monmouth County
Both suspects were transferred to the Union County Juvenile Detention Center.
