New Jersey approved the final sale of Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center to a developer earlier this week.
The acting state Department of Health and Human Services Commissioner quickly gave final approval despite concern about the hospital’s track record, saying “Closure of the hospital would disrupt and decrease access to hospital services for the Secaucus community.”
Long Island developer Yan Moshe purchased the hospital for $12.2 million and purchases the hospital lands for $26 million. Moshe, who also owns a pair of surgery centers in Hackensack and Saddle Brook.
