Secaucus’ only hospital, located on Meadowlands Parkway, is closer to being sold for $12.2 million to Long Island developer Yan Moshe, who also owns a pair of surgery centers in Hackensack and Saddle Brook. The unanimous vote came a few weeks after the same board was deadlocked on the sale.
The acting state Department of Health and Human Services Commissioner has 120 days to give final approval.
Moshe will also purchase the hospital lands for $26 million. The application also indicated Moshe would invest millions in new equipment, maintain the current capacity, increase patient volume, provide the same services, and maintain all of the hospital’s current employees and employment contracts.
