A Secaucus resident got drunk and slammed into the SUV of a Fire Chief last week.
Clint Cleetus was intoxicated a driving on the wrongs side of the road when he collided with the Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Secaucus Volunteer Fire Chief Carl Leppin on 10th street around 9:00 pm on Thursday, August 17.
The 39-year-old Cleetus complained of chest pains after his Honda’s airbag deployed. Leppin also cited some pain after the crash but both men declined further medical attention.
Cleetus was charged with driving under the influence and assault by automobile and received moving vehicle summonses for making an improper turn and reckless driving.
