The Secaucus Board of Education appointed a new director of curriculum and high school assistant principal at their June meeting, according to The Jersey Journal.
Dr. Daniela Riser is the new director of curriculum after spending more than 15 years in the district’s science department.
According to her bio on the Board of Education website, Dr. Riser “became a high school biology teacher in September 2000 and taught science for 13 years. She earned her B.S in Biology at Stockton University, her M.S. in Anatomy/Physiology at Rutgers University, and her Ed.D. in Supervision and Science Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. ”
Jeffrey Case is the new assistant principal at Secaucus High School after serving as a science teacher in the Warren Hills Regional school district, where he also coached football and wrestling.
At the same meeting, the Board of Education approved the hiring of seven new staff members, two custodians, and a full-time network technician.
