On June 27, a pair of men with previous outstanding warrants were nabbed after stealing bicycles from the backyard of a home on New County Road. A neighbor notified the police, who quickly caught up with the thieves.
One of the men had seven previous outstanding warrants worth $3,950 from Newark, Roselle and Union. The other man had an outstanding warrant of $750 from Linden.
Just two days later, an undercover operation run by the Secaucus Police Department led to the arrest of a Jersey City man and a New York woman in separate incidents at a local hotel.
The woman was charged with two counts of prostitution while the man was charged with promoting prostitution and simple assault.
