A Pennsylvania man has been charged with federal sex trafficking for running a prostitution ring in hotels in various New Jersey towns, including the Secaucus Red Roof Inn on Meadowlands Parkway.
Francisco Torrellas, who also went by the nicknames “Dream”, “Daddy” and “Pretty”, was indicted by a grand jury on Wednesday on one count of sex trafficking of a minor after a 16-year-old girl that was working for him contacted authorities.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office, the 29-year-old Torrellas ran prostitues out of hotels in Secaucus, Elizabeth and Elmwood Park. He faces a minimum of 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.
U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman credited the Secaucus police department among other agencies with the investigation that led to the indictment.
