Ten years after their last performance, Secaucus’ community theater group is finally returning to the stage.
CAST (Community Arts Scholarship Theater) will perform “The Show Must Go On” at the Secaucus High School Arthur F. Couch Performing Arts Center this weekend. The show will premiere on Friday night at 7:30 pm with a pair of shows on Saturday at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm.
The show will focus on the history of Secaucus using rewritten version of popular Broadway songs, including “All that Jazz” and “Good Morning Baltimore”. It is being written and directed by Secaucus resident Michael Griffo, who we profiled upon the release of his novel Unnatural in June.
CAST began in its initial run in 1988 and continued productions for more than decade (including my entire time at S.H.S.). The production will include 50 performers and an additional 20 people backstage.
The Hudson Reporter did an extensive profile of the production on Sunday.
Tickets are $10, with a $2 senior discount for Saturday afternoon’s show. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for further ticket information.
