Bald But Bold
Feb 26th, 2010 | By Greg Hazley | Category: Community, On tap, SecaucusNick Rivelli, a lifelong Secaucus resident, sent word about an interesting event with former Secaucus resident Dr. Mike McCue, who is raising money for childhood cancer research by getting people like Nick to shave their heads.
“Shaving the Way to Conquer Kid’s Cancer” will benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and Rivelli said he’s had some early success getting sponsors but could use more.
“In agreeing to shave my head in solidarity with children fighting cancer I have raised over $2,000 in sponsorship in less than a week,” he said earlier in the week. He has topped $4K as of Friday.
Rivelli sent over this photo of McCue and him. He’s promised an “after” shot as well.
Here’s a link to his page where you can donate and support a great cause.
St. Baldrick’s uses the donations to fund more childhood cancer research grants ($12M last year) than any organization except the United States government.

Good work guys!
Making Secaucus proud. Things that make this town who we are!
Had the pleasure of knowing these two for a long time, Great guys, Great cause, I donated myself and urge everyone to help them out as well.
Outstanding!! It’s no wonder Nick Rivelli is so well liked and respected!! A truely selfless act that makes me proud to say I know him!
Very Proud!
I heard all proceeds go to the Rivelli tab at La Reggia. I donated anyway.
