Local Man in $2M Drug Ring Bust
Feb 11th, 2010 | By Greg Hazley | Category: On tap, SecaucusA 32-year-old resident of the Riverside Court complex in Secaucus was a supplier for a $2.2M cocaine and marijuana ring busted in Lackawanna County, the Pennsylvania attorney general said today.
Robert “Light” Larkins of 142 Blue Heron Drive in Secaucus supplied individualsĀ in Lackawanna County with “large amounts” of the two drugs, authorities said.
He is charged with two counts of possession with the intent to deliver, two counts of delivery, two counts of corrupt organizations, one count of criminal conspiracy and a single count of criminal use of a communication facility.
Eighteen others were charged in the sting.
Police used nine court-authorized wire taps to identify the ring, which operated in tiers from higher levels down to small quantity deals in the county.
Agents purchased 20 ounces of cocaine valued at $56,000 during the probe, as well as a pound of marijuana. Search warrants yielded more than a quarter kilogram of cocaine, three vehicles and $15K in cash on Dec. 6, officials said.
The case will be prosecuted in Lackawanna County.

Hey now, theres more than meets the eye in one of those pricey condos, hmm?
Unless, of course, he was living out of the affordable housing units that Secaucus was forced to set aside in that community. Does eSecaucus know if that is so?
Anonymous-I’m glad you said what everyone else was thinking. Let’s see what the answer is.
I was thinking same thing but looking at tax records he purchased condo for $575K in 2006. Wonder if it was paid in cash?
My spouse and I work our butts off and can’t qualify for a $575K mortgage. We were lucky to get the mortgage we did. Does no one else see a problem here? We both work full time and do the right thing. Oh yeah, that’s right. You can’t get ahead in this world by doing the right thing.
It’s like the low income property that is close to my house. I have to take care of my own property and keep my house looking good even though my property value plummets because I am houses away from the low income property. People living there driving new Mustangs and new SUVs but paying rent that is next to nothing because they are “low income”. Funny how that works, huh? Hmm, I wonder if I should get a new Mustang. Oh wait, I can’t because I have to pay real world bills.
Enough with the low income. If you can afford to live here then you should. If you can’t afford it then you need to go somewhere else. If I could live in a brand new house in Montville I would but Montville isn’t going to make middle income houses to suit me just because I would like to live there. Why should Secaucus create more low income houses to suit people who want to live here? Enough is enough.
Wow, the fact checking by forum posters is incredulous. 142 Blue Heron drive is not the affordable housing. Yet lets all rant against low income housing and the cliche misnomers associated with it. Because only low income people can sell drugs…in another state by the way.
I am assuming the posters of these rants live here in Secaucus and could take a 5 minute drive or 10 minute walk to find out. Oh wait, I forgot, I am sure you are afraid to be shot during a drive by or run over by a tinted out hummer with hydraulics.
They are absolutly the low income units!!!!
His unit is not not in the affordable housing section. I live on the street.
How would you know if if was low income or not. The units are spread out all over the complex.
there are 12 affordable units there they are all at the endof the complex near the end of village court
