Prostitution Busts

Five individuals were arrested on prostitution-related charges on May 4 after an investigation by Secaucus detectives at a business on Paterson Plank Road.

Secaucus Police Detective Division personnel responded to 168 Studio, an acupuncture business, on the 1300 Block of Paterson Plank Road on Monday on a report of “someone needing assistance,” according to Det. Capt. John Buckley.

secaucus_pdFollowing an investigation, four women and a 31-year-old male were arrested on charges related to prostitution.

Police took into custody Ji Jin, 48, of Flushing, N.Y., and charged her with promoting prostitution; Kim Sunza, 48, of Queens, N.Y., also charged with promoting prostitution; Cai Yu, 44, of Queens, N.Y., charged with engaging in prostitution as well as promoting prostitution; and Yoh Se, 46, of West New York, N.J., charged with maintaining a premise used for prostitution as well as a charge of promoting prostitution.

Joseph Giacomin, 31, of Nutley, N.J., was charged with engaging an individual in prostitution, police said.

Sat., April 25 – Police were called to a single-vehicle accident on Secaucus Road at around 1 a.m. Danny Pazos, 29, of Passaic, was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Mon., April 27 – Police responded to an accident at 1:50 p.m. on Paterson Plank Road near Grace Avenue. Fifty-one-year-old Theresa McGuire of Secaucus was subsequently taken into custody for charges of reckless driving, failure to wear a seat belt, and  driving while intoxicated.

Mon., April 27 – Police responded to TJ Max on Mill Creek Drive on shoplifting call. Thirty-two-year-old Carlo Macina of North Bergen was taken into custody for allegedly shoplifting $280 worth of men’s shirts at around 12:45 p.m.

Sun., May 3 – Police responded to Marshalls on shoplifting call at 3:40 p.m. Yvette Torres, 28, of Jersey City was arrested on shoplifting charges for allegedly taking $290 worth of clothing.
