Missing patient – 4/6/09
10:00 PM — Police are alerted that an elderly patient is missing from Hudson Manor.
11:50 PM — The 79-year-old male who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease is found by police walking along Route 495 after a 9-1-1 call.
Disabled vehicle – 4/10/09
5:35 PM — Officer dispatched to Humboldt St. near Paterson Plank Rd. on report of disabled vehicle. Radios back at 5:40 that the vehicle has been cleared off the road.
Vehicle stop – 4/10/09
6:45 PM — Motor vehicle stop at Paterson Plank Rd. and Maple St. for tinted windows. Car registered to 42-year-old Jersey City man.
Car Wanted for Shots Fired – 4/10/09
10:46 PM — Police units alerted that a red Pontiac wanted for shots fired in Newark is passing through Secaucus on the Turnpike in the vicinity of exit 15x.
10:47 PM — Vehicle in vicinity of 16W. [Two Newark men were caught after the chase and face charges of attempted murder after firing at a pursuing Fort Lee officer on Route 80. The Record reported three other men fled on foot after the car was abandoned in Fort Lee. A fight began in Newark Friday night and police received a call about shots being fired. Newark police pursued the vehicle, a Grand Am, with other departments along the Turnpike, Route 80 and Routes 1 and 9. The Fort Lee officer returned fire and struck the car, according to the report.
Open manhole cover – 4/13/09
9:17 PM — Report of manhole cover near Plaza drive entrance off the sidewalk in the area of Home Depot.
9:22 PM — Officer reports manholes appear to be covered. Dispatch asks him to check the north side as jogger said he “almost fell in.”
9:23 PM — Officer finds manhole. (This is compelling stuff, isn’t it?)
Possible domestic situation – 4/16/09
6:43 PM — Three units dispatched to Koelle Boulevard address on report of possible domestic situation.
6:53 PM — Officer radios that incident was a “verbal dispute, not a domestic.”
Suspicious vehicle taking pictures – 4/16/09
6:48 PM — Police called to Zin Diner parking lot off Paterson Plank Rd. on report of a party in a vehicle taking pictures of the building. Hispanic male aged 25 to 30 is description given.
Store dispute — 4/16/09
6:55 PM — Officer dispatched to Prado store on Meadowlands Parkway on report of individual having problem with sales people.
Suspicious activity – 4/16/09
10:48 PM — Two units asked to respond to area of Gulf Station on County Avenue on report of two individuals acting suspiciously. Individuals reportedly were on motorcycles but put them to the side and were looking into vehicles in the area.
10:53 PM — 10:53 PM — Individuals found to be 32-year-old Bloomfield male and 33-year-old Jersey City male. Motorcyle registrations are found to be in good standing.
